Since it closed down in 2015, cult favorite Opposite Mess Hall has teased its Bangkok devotees with sporadic pop-ups and hints of returning.

Now, the OMH team is getting ready for the December launch of their new project 12:51 by Jess Barnes. But in the meantime, Barnes is treating us to another Opposite Mess Hall Pop-Up, this time at Viva Market Thonglor (387 Sukhumvit Soi 55).

From Nov 22-Dec 17, Barnes will be bringing back old classics like the pork belly bao, bone marrow dumplings and duck waffle, as well as some exciting new dishes.

For those who don't remember Opposite, the restaurant first opened in 2013 and heralded a shift in Bangkok food culture from hotels and fine-dining to rustic industrial styling and produce-driven small plates. It closed down in Sep 2015, and the space now operates as Daniel Thaiger burger spin-off Crying Thaiger
