We’ve always had a soft spot for this Sukhumvit 49 complex, and a few recent additions mean that you’ll be able to find something to do here at any time of day.

BRUNCH
One of our fave brunch spots launched its latest branch, Rocket Coffeebar S.49, on the 1/F of the nightclub Grease. It still serves the usual signature egg dishes, daytime cocktails and cold brew coffee. Most exciting are the newly-concocted Nordic Lights dishes, available from 11am onwards. They've also just launched their #SaturdaySocialClub, which combines DIY cocktails with Scandinavian bites and laidback tunes every Saturday from 5pm. For some Japanese/French desserts, there’s lots to choose from at Gute Patisserie.

WORK
The Hive is one of the slickest co-working spaces in Bangkok (B300 day pass, B7,000 monthly) thanks to its many facilities, including the chic roof garden bar with its happy hour buy-one-get-one-free cocktail deal every Thu-Fri. Suffering office syndrome? Get a massage (starting at B200) at its new boutique Hive Spa.

DINE
Japanese food is the name of the game here, whether the beautifully presented, tasty sushi rolls at Teien Sushi Bar, the classic ramen chain Ramen Tei Premium, or barbecue joint Karatama Robatayaki. For some different Asian flavors, try the Vietnamese of the pretty Saigon Recipe, or Kai Yang Sua Yai, the Isaan restaurant much-beloved by the celebs (and with pretty good reason).

PRE-GAME & PAINT
Think you’re pretty creative after a few drinks? Paintbar Bangkok is the city’s first bar to combine boozing with painting. Get those juices flowing (wines and beers from B220, with a cocktail menu coming up soon) and paint up a masterpiece (B1,200 covers all art supplies) to a soundtrack of contemporary R&B to EDM.

PARTY
Ditch your canvas at the bar and head over to Grease, right on the other side of the complex. It's also welcoming Spanish all-girl rockers Hinds for a party on Valentine's Day (Feb 14).
