Club Marriott has finally arrived in Bangkok

With over 260,000 members across Asia Pacific, Club Marriott—Marriott Hotel Group’s premium dining loyalty program—has finally launched in Thailand.

The program combines two powerful dining loyalty packages together, Club Marriott and Eat Drink & More, into a single paid membership program that comes with more choices and benefits when members dine in their hometown or at one of the 250 participating hotels across 13 countries across the region, with more joining every month.

“As a hotel, you make your profits through rooms and you make your reputation through F&B," said Ralph Frehner, vice president of food and beverage, Asia-Pacific for Marriott International. "The more we improve our F&B, the better it is for us. It's very important to punch our restaurants through the wall to the community.”

Bangkok members get 30-percent discount on food and beverage in Bangkok while also enjoying 20-percent off at the participating hotels outside of Bangkok and across the Asia Pacific.

There are 38 participating hotels and resorts across 11 brands in nine major cities around Thailand.

“There are many, many reasons for why someone would become a membership. As far as dining experience goes, I think we cover everybody's taste palette with our 200-plus outlets,” said Frehner

For B9,500 a year, you get two cards (one main and one supplementary), welcome amenities, room discounts, upgrades, spa vouchers, birth offers and access to exclusive events like chef workshops. Specials for birthday events and the child activities are also included.

“By offering locally relevant benefits to members, we aim to continue to have a sharp focus on positioning our hotels as ‘the favorite destinations where locals go to meet, eat and drink,’” said Frehner.
