If you're a serial TV junkie, you're in luck because popular movie and TV show streaming service Netflix is coming to Singapore by early next year. The internet streaming company from America is already available in Australia, but until recently there was no word on setting up shop in Singapore. Singapore is the first Southeast Asian country to get Netflix, and the second in Asia after Japan.

Fans of Orange is the New Black and other "racy" shows, rein in your excitement, though. The company has said that it will launch with a curated selection of movies and Netflix-produced TV shows, which probably means that they'll be working closely with the MDA. (Just yesterday, The Straits Times reported that cable broadcasters were urging the MDA to loosen up their regulations.)

The service will be available on smart TVs, tablets, smartphones, computers and a range of Internet-capable game consoles, but hopefully that range will expand to include Google Play and Apple App Store (Apple TV) soon. No word on the pricing system yet, but we're hoping that it will be kept affordable like its American, British and Australian counterparts, with monthly subscription prices going for no more than $14.
