Lily Allen set to perform in Singapore
The straight-talking British starlet is making her local debut in 2015.
After almost eight years in the music business, British pop singer Lily Allen will finally be performing on our shores in Feb 2015. We know she’s garnered quite a lot of media attention for her love of alcohol and no-holds-barred rants with music royalty like Elton John, but there’s no denying that she’s talent to be reckoned with. We fondly remember her bursting onto the music scene with her iconic debut single "Smile” which try as we might, we just couldn't stop singing along to.
After winning three Ivor Novello Awards in 2010, Allen took a four-year hiatus from music-making to focus on establishing her own record label, and returned with her well-received third album “Sheezus” in May this year. Besides shooting to number one on the UK Albums chart, the album’s been hailed by critics for its bold, unapologetic lyrics and punchy feminist stance.
For fans, we understand 2015’s a pretty long way off, so here’s a couple of tracks to keep you satisfied till then. Find more info on her upcoming concert here.
