Bangkok will have another hour to play, as the changes to the curfew were approved by the task force Thursday afternoon.

On Oct 14, the COVID-19 task force confirmed its proposal to shave an hour off both ends of the overnight curfew in the worst-hit provinces, including Bangkok, that currently runs 10pm to 4am.

The new curfew, starting Saturday, would be in effect from 11pm to 3am.

It will be up for consideration again at the end of the month, when the prime minister said Monday the country would be reopened to vaccinated tourists.

Another proposal up for debate today is reducing the number of provinces classified as “dark red” from 29 to 24.
