The ninth instalment of this annual storytelling festival brings renowned storytellers from Korea, India, Italy and the UK, each weaving tales unique to their culture and country. Some lesser-known story-telling styles will be showcased including Korean pansori and Urdu dastangoi.

With an eclectic lineup of screenings on fashion, technology and architecture, this year's Design Film Festival promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever. This year's line-up features films about designers and artists like legendary street photographer Vivian Maier, Japanese architect Tadao Ando and fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent. 

The annual geek fest is back! Be the first to get your hands on new artwork and toys and get the autographs of your favorite creators. Don't forget to look out for works by local comic book writers such as Troy Chin and Kenfoo, at an exclusive booth set up by local bookstore Books Actually.

David Blaine Live in Singapore 2014 (Sep 8)

From street magician to high-profile illusionist, David Blaine certainly has the crowd under his spell. Catch him in Singapore as he performs astonishing live stunts and extraordinary feats (one of which previously had him encased in a six-ton block of ice for three days and three nights!) Watch out though – you might just walk away believing in magic.

Peter Pan (Sep 11-13)

As part of the first-ever Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA), the Berliner Ensemble's performs a haunting rendition of Peter Pan that's worlds-apart from the version you heard as a kid. The avant garde German theater company makes its debut in Asia after successful Berlin and Paris premieres, backed up by kooky indie band CocoRosie.

Anberlin Final Tour - Live in Singapore (Sep 12)

Known for songs like "Paperthin Hymn" and "Glass to the Arson", Florida rock group Anberlin will be concluding their 12-year long musical career with a final tour at TAB Singapore. The band are touring in support of their final studio album "Lowborn", and will be supported by local post-hardcore group Caracal.

Art Social Haus: It's Not Kink (Sep 12)

This new co-working arts space has a bunch of exciting upcoming events have already got us excited. One of the highlights is I.N.K (It's Not Kink), featuring the works of Singaporean tattoo artists like Feroze McLeod from Hounds of the Baskeville. You can also try your hand at tattoo art, with a two-session hands-on workshop following this exhibition in October.

Epicurean Market (Sep 12-14) 

This garden-themed indoor picnic brings together some of the top-notch  talents from Asia's 50 Best Restaurants like Tetsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin, David Thompson of Long Chim and Justin Quek of Sky on 57. Featuring wine appreciation areas, a cocktail bar and a gourmet coffee and dessert zone, guests are able to sample food and wines from over 50 participating brands.

F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2014 (Sep 19-21)

Craze Ultra 2014 (Sep 20-21)

This ultra-endurance running event takes participants through many unexplored areas of Singapore, giving you the opportunity to go off the beaten track and build some stamina at the same time. Discover in detail Woodlands Waterfront, Yishun Dam, Punggol Promenade, Punggol Waterway, Sengkang, Lor Halus Wetland, Changi Beach Park and many such scenic trails.

Lit Up 2014: Walk the Equator (Sep 26-28)

Lit up Singapore is back for its sixth year running, with this year's theme being 'Walk the Equator'. Referencing the transnational nature of literature and other art forms, this year’s festival will include plays, improvised comedy, spoken word poetry, puppetry, a flea market and hip local bands like MONSTER CAT and The Sets.

VOX: Before The Internet Ate Our Brains (Sep 27)

Singapore's first-ever pop-rock string quartet certainly know a thing or two about making classical music accessible to modern concert-goers. Not only did they sell out concert tickets at last year's esplanade studio recital, they're ready to bring back the 90's in style at Zouk this September. Expect a wicked mashup of tunes by bands such as Nirvana, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and even the Spice Girls.
