1. Colorful Décor

Throwing your party poolside or in the backyard? Add some colorful, high-quality new décor pieces from French interior label Fermob just hit our shore with its first flagship store at the Crystal Design Center. Mix and match chairs and tables from various collections and in some 23 pop-art-style shades like fuchsia, aubergine purple, carrot orange, pastel nutmeg and the candy-like lagoon blue. Complete the scene with ceramic tableware from talented young local ceramic makers and importers like Have a Nice Meal, Lanin Ceramics and Keep Calm and Eat Pies. Look out for some unique hand-painted plates and bowl to serve your pastries and wait for the 100 likes on Instagram to flow in.

2. Stay in Style

Make sure you get your personal look as right as the décor. Central Embassy and CentralWorld are both hotbeds for some of the coolest French brands in town, from the bold colors of Kenzo to the polished streetwear of A.P.C. You’ll also find the cult tees and shorts of Maison Kitsune in hip multi-label store Siwilai.

3. The Right Soundtrack

No party is complete without good tunes. Modern-day French electro has its own unique beat that infuses elements of disco and funk into a sound that works for anything from afternoon slow drinks to late-night dance parties. If you’re into the toe-tapping sounds of helmet-headed duo Daft Punk, or the electro pop stylings of master-producer Breakbot, then also try Bangkok’s very own Cyndi Seui. The guy has just released his first full-length album, ToyBoy, on digital download and vinyl format, available at 8 Musique and Reco Room.

4. Delicious French Delicacies

The night won’t be complete without something good to eat, and fortunately Bangkok’s patisserie game is on a whole other level right now. The goods at Paris Mikki come near the top of pretty much any pastry taste test we do, whether it’s croissants or macarons. Or for something savory, check out 1) the butter, cheese and baguette at Amantee (all of which are amazing), and 2) the pre-cooked and pasturized foie gras products at Vivin.

5. The Perfect Drink

And it doesn’t have to be wine and Champagne when you’re talking about French-themed party—cocktails can play part too. In fact, the country lays claim to some of the most classic drinks out there, like the French martini, the Mimosa and the French 75. The key to all of these is refreshing, sparkling flavor. Start by using a fine base ingredient like Grey Goose vodka, then try playing around with fresh summer fruits for something truly refreshing. If you need an inspiration, visit the Grey Goose Summer Soiree event at the Emquatier and learn how to make summer cocktails at home with the brand’s resident mixologist.

Summer Soiree

To celebrate this summer season in Parisian style, the premium French vodka brand Grey Goose teams up with Bangkok’s trending lifestyle mall to host the week-long Grey Goose Summer Soiree party from Apr 21-27. Following successful runs at cities around the world including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Toronto, the event comes to Bangkok and brings together entertainment from the city’s leading party organizer Lazerface along with much-hyped DJs from Club Soma and DJ Andy plus more special guests all week long. The biggest highlight happens at the bar, where Grey Goose’s resident mixologist creates four new signature drinks for this event: Grey Goose Frenchy, Grey Goose St. Tropez, Grey Goose Lilly EmQ and Grey Goose Summer Couleur. Plus, you can learn how to create your own summer cocktails with the mixologist team, too.
