The creepy Chinese theme park may get a makeover, too.

One of our favorite things as adults is nostalgic visits to Haw Par Villa and its terrifying exhibits of the 10 Courts of Hell--not to mention the indie shows that sometimes take place there. Well, it turns out that park is undergoing a major restoration and possibly getting national monument status, according to a report by The Straits Times.

Tour operator Journeys, which is now managing the site, is digging through the archives of these statues and giving them a makeover. It will take about three years for this park to be spruced up, but don't worry, entrance will remain free.

If gazetted a national monument, this scary park will join old Jurong Town Hall and the famous Tanjong Pagar Railway Station on the list.

No word on whether the renovations will shut down the place, but you might want to head over before they start.
