Grab is branching out into coach services for giant groups in Singapore
All it takes is a few clicks.
Looks like Honestbee isn’t the only tech start-up looking for a new market to dip their toes in. Just recently, ride-hailing service Grab announced that it’ll be launching GrabCoach, a new service for those travelling in groups, at three different fixed prices.
It wasn’t too long ago that they unveiled car-pool service GrabShare, joining in the ranks of Uber, who already has a major stake in the market. The new coach service allows you to book 13-seater, 23-seater and 40-seater vehicles to get you anywhere in Singapore for a fixed price of $65, $95 and $150 respectively. It operates similar to their main ride-hailing service, and accepts cash and cashless payment options (credit cards, AliPay, Android Pay and GrabPay credits).
As of now, Grab are the first of the ride-hailing services to do a coach service, and their hope is that existing small fleet operators will take advantage of this service and streamline payments and communications with their customers through the app, allowing them to shift their focus on managing their fleet and expanding their business.
It also means you'll be able to move your entire party to Amoy Street without coordinating a dozen taxis.
In short, it’s a win-win situation for all. More info here. Download the Grab app from the App Store and Google Play to experience GrabShare.
