Two big developments are in the pipeline for Sentosa, and they're both definitely going to make the place even more exciting.

First up, a cluster of six former military barracks as well as a parade ground on Artillery Avenue will house The Outpost, a new hotel to be developed by Far East Organisation. Facing Palawan Beach, there'll be a total of two hotels featuring 700 rooms on the 45,000-square meter site. The project is set to be completed in 2018.

The second development, on the other hand, is for foodies. Makansutra will be opening a second outlet (called the Makansutra Seefood Seeshore—comes complete with deck chairs!) on Palawan Island. Founder KF Seetoh is said to have gotten the country's most iconic hawkers to be part of the new food paradise and is currently on the lookout for more to get onboard—particularly the younger, new gen bunch of hawkers.
