And with the new Downtown Line 2, you really don't need a reason to drive there.

Why should you care? Cheong Chin Nam Road is home to eateries like G7 Sinma Live Bull Frog Claypot Porridge (6 Cheong Chim Nam Rd.) and Al-Azhar Eating Restaurant (11 Cheong Chin Nam Rd.), both of which have always been popular supper spots, and are even more so now that Downtown Line 2 has finally opened.

According to a report by Channel NewsAsia, there's a possibility that this stretch may go car free on weekends in the future. Some restaurant owners are exploring the idea of implementing a car-free zone on weekends and the Urban Revelopment Authority is currently in talks with stakeholders about studying the proposal.

Still, we think it's a lot easier to swing by via the MRT—no parking woes and zero fuel (well, except calories) burned.
