Bust out the Champagne

Central Embassy is no slouch in the design department by any stretch of the imagination. Between OPEN HOUSE, SIWILAI CITY CLUB, and other properties like Park Hyatt in the same building, it’s one of Bangkok’s most stunning malls. This goes beyond mere conjecture now that the brand announced it won a whopping seven property design awards this year.

Arguably the biggest victory of them all was the three trophies from the Asia Pacific Property Awards Grand Final 2018, the region’s biggest and most respected property awards program covering more than a dozen countries across Asia. At the show, Central Embassy won “Best Retail Development”, “Best Retail Architectural Design” and “Best Universal Design Development”, which is quite a boon for the company.

“It is an honor for Central Embassy, OPEN HOUSE and SIWILAI CITY CLUB to be awarded these prestigious awards,” said Barom Bhicharnchitr, Managing Director of Central Embassy. “I am truly grateful for this significant recognition and will continue to create a nonpareil retail experience for our valued customers both in local communities and the global stage.”

The other awards Barom is referencing come from the 2018 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Asia-Pacific Shopping Center Awards Program and MAPIC Awards 2018 – both very highly recognized in the region for design-specific honors. At ICSC 2018, OPEN HOUSE won gold in the “Retail Concept” category, with its buildingmate SIWILAI CITY CLUB picking up silver in the same category as well. The mall as a whole also won a silver in the “New Development” category at the same event. In terms of MAPIC, OPEN HOUSE came away a winner again with “Best Leisure Concept in a Retail Space.”

That’s enough awards to make your head spin, but that’s not even the end of it. Central Embassy and OPEN HOUSE both picked up two more awards from the Good Design Awards 2018 and PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2018 – winning a G Mark and has won 13th Property Guru Thailand Property Awards 2018 in 3 categories; Best Retail Development, Best Retail Architectural Design and Best Universal Design Development respectively.

Whoa, time for some Champagne.

Central Embassy, 1031 Phloen Chit Rd., 02-119-7777. Open daily 10am-10pm
