A gathering of employee representatives from BTSC, the company that operates BTS Skytrain, showed up at Government House today (Mar 14) to call for Prayuth Chan-ocha to pay for the B50 billion debt that the government owes to the company.

 

The team of employees said that they just wanted to submit a letter to the prime minister and also stated that if the government doesn’t pay up in seven days the employees may consider stopping all trains.

 

The employees claimed that the upper management of BTSC didn’t send them and that they gathered because they are worried about the future of the company because the government has no plan to pay what they’re owed.

 

If you’ve been taking the BTS for the past few months, you will have seen the ad running on all trains featuring Keeree Kanjanapas, the executive president of BTS Group Holdings, giving an interview and calling for the government to pay up.

 

The debt is for the second extension of the Green Line and the total number is B37 billion, now approximately B50 billion with interest.
