Watch a heart-warming video about the friendship between one rider and her passenger.

Once a humble mode of transport, trishaws are viewed primarily as tourist traps these days. Thanks to Cycling Without Age, however, they’re getting an image update. Cycling Without Age is a growing movement that began in Denmark back in 2012. It encourages volunteers to take elderly members of their communities out on trishaw rides, helping them to get around and enjoy the simple pleasures of being in the great outdoors.

Now in 51 cities across 18 countries, Cycling Without Age's Singapore chapter was founded in 2015. Pernille Bussone leads the cause here and she appears in a delightful new video by Our Better World with one of her passengers, Annie.

Inspired? Then head to the Cycling Without Age Singapore website to learn how you can become one of their volunteer trishaw riders. You can also make donations – their ambitious plan is to ensure that every HDB block has its very own trishaw.
