2015's best Valentine’s hotel and dinner deals all around Thailand

U Chiang Mai
Boutique hotel U Chiang Mai (053-327-000. www.uhotelsresorts.com/uchiangmai) is celebrating the month of love with a Valentine’s package, which includes a stay in a superior or deluxe room with aromatherapy massage for two, a rose bouquet upon check-in, and strawberries, chocolates and a bottle of Silver Creek Zinfandel rosé wine to welcome your arrival. The hotel is perhaps best known for its 24-hour stay (from time of check in), whenever/wherever breakfast and pre-selected amenities such as pillow, tea, music and soap. The package is starts at B4,899 per night for a Superior Room with a minimum 2 nights stay.
X2
The sleek boutique hotel group X2 is offering sweet packages at their top properties, X2 Kui Buri and X2 Samui. Throughout February, couples can enjoy The 28 Days of Love package, which includes a stay in a Deluxe Pool Villa with Champagne breakfast, a platter of “love bites,” chocolates and a bottle of wine. For X2 Kui Buri (032-601-412), rates start at B7,500 per night for Sun-Thu and B8,500 per night for Fri-Sat, while it’s B7,200 per night at X2 Samui (077-233-033). Estin Hotel Pattaya
For those on a budget, Eastin properties are offering a 15-percent discount on their full flexible rates, with the bonus of some romantic add-ons. Bookings for Feb 13-15 will get special Valentine’s treats like roses and chocolates, as well as extended breakfast hours until 11:30am. Eastin Hotel Pattaya rates start at B1,869, Eastin Tan Hotel Chiang Mai at B2,294 and Eastin Yama Hotel Phuket at B2,379 for superior. www.eastinhotelsresidences.com
Sireeampan Resort
The 11-suite luxury resort Sireeampan (053-327-777. www.sireeampan.com) is offering a Sweet package, which includes a stay in an S Class Suite, with complimentary Prosecco along with a two-for-one spa offer. A special dinner will also be on offer for B4,500 per couple. In February, the S Class Suite is B16,000 per night, while a normal suite is B15,000. The hotel is also celebrating Chinese New Year, which begins on Feb 19, with guests going in the running for gifts ranging from a bottle of sparkling wine, a B888 hotel voucher and spa treatments.
Amari Phuket
Amari Hua Hin (www.amari.com/huahin) has announced a Suite Valentine package that includes a stay in a one-bedroom suite, complimentary Chandon Sparkling Brut and Chandon Sparkling Rose, an afternoon tea set, a romantic set dinner at Shoreline Beach Club and a 50-percent discount on spa packages. There’s also late check-out until 3pm. Rates start from B9,350 per night, through Feb. Amari Phuket (www.amari.com/phuket), meanwhile, is offering a long four-day-three-night deal in its ocean view rooms. On top of honeymoon VIP amenities, guests get a dinner at the on-site Italian restaurant, airport transfers and a 20-percent discount on spa treatments. The package starts from B25,650 and is available from Feb 9-19.
Aleenta Hua Hin
Too bad all the rooms are already full, but you can still book for a romantic dining experience at Aleenta Hua Hin (02-514-8112. www.aleenta.com/huahin). The inventive Dining in the Dark Passion Fruits Experience is a six-course gourmet dinner that’s intended to rob you of your sight, so that your other sense can prosper. The menu will be heavy on aphrodisiacs like ginger, oysters, avocado, ginseng and chocolate, too. The package is B2,500 per couple for dinner on Feb 14.
Horizon Hilton Pattaya
The stunning Hilton Pattaya (038-253-000. tinyurl.com/lowra7d) is offering romantic dinners at its three restaurants on Feb 14. Flare presents a four-course Thai set dinner, dubbed the Valentine’s Love Song Set, which includes grilled Fines de Claire oysters and Hokkaido sea scallop at B2,150 net per couple, including a glass of sparkling wine each. The rooftop restaurant Horizon will serve a four-course set menu, Journey of Love, which includes shellfish trio, fresh English pea soup and roasted moulard duck breast at B4,750 net per couple. The Edge will put on an international buffet at B1,100 net per person, with wine an additional B1,250 net per person. Room rates here start at B6,290. Hilton Hua Hin (032-538-999, tinyurl.com/mdou62v) is also offering a Valentine’s dinner for couples at its rooftop White Lotus Sky Bar with a bottle of sparkling wine at B1,800 net per set.
Namu, W Retreat Samui
If you’re looking to party while you honeymoon, W Retreat Samui (077-915-999. tinyurl.com/oy358l8) may well be the place for you this Valentine’s. They recently appointed Kelly Kellam, a veteran New York-based DJ and producer, to be their first ever “director of atmosphere.” Its signature restaurant, Namu, will offer a six-course Valentine’s Day dinner designed by hot Korean chef Sin Keun “SK” Choi. The B9,000-set includes oyster with soy caviar and ponzu followed by Carpaccio-style tuna with tomato caviar and Blackmore wagyu (marble score 9+). Through May 31, it’s offering the Away with Me honeymoon package, which comprises a W Honeymoon gift, chocolate fondue with fruit, and free 120-minute treatments for two at Away spa. Note, the deal requires a two-night stay, with rates starting from B22,500 per night until May 31.
