Normally, you’ve got to travel to the likes of Nonthaburi for a taste of these sweet, sweet book deals, but this time Bangkok’s biggest, baddest book sale is coming to The Market at Ratchaprasong.

Marketed as “Big Bad Wolf in the City” this round, for bibliophiles, it’s a big deal. The event features a selection of international and local books and features discounts of up to 95 percent. The event will take place from Aug 4-15 from 10am-midnight. Last year, the event boasted more than a million Thai and English language books.

Also, there are always a few events and specials to look forward to at this book lovers’ event; last year saw a number of fun book signings at the Impact Arena Hall 4, as well as fun deals like the “TrolleyFul of Books!!!” in which one lucky patron walked away with a trolly full  of 103 books for free.

The Phuket iteration of Big Bad Wolf Book Sale wrapped up in June at the Floresta Mini Convention Hall, and the Bangkok event this year is a real boon as it’s happening at an easily accessible downtown location at The Market rather than a large convention center on the city’s outskirts.

Big Bad Wolf Books was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2009 and is famed for being the World’s Biggest Book Sale. Their work has spread to 36 cities in 15 countries, and the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale was most recently held in Bangkok in April this year.
