Good Old Days Barber is run by Prasert “Sert” Techamaneevat, who has over two years’ experience in the pomade import business. At this retro-style barber a shave will cost B300, while a regular shampoo, cut and style is B350. The notorious Black Amber,
BK readers' second favourite barbershop, is run by the guy behind The Circus Bangkok absinthe bar, Chavin “Kwan” Nantaterm. This gentleman's club barbershop is situated on the first floor of an old four-story shophouse in a little alley between Thonglor sois 5 and 7. Inside you'll find leather sofas, retro barber chairs and wood cut glass cabinets displaying various pomades. Here a hot shave will cost you B600 or just B400 for a simple shave. Keeping to the gentleman’s club vibe, those getting a cut are also offered a complimentary single malt (payment by tip box, if you’re feeling generous) and you can also bring your own cigars to smoke inside. Anyone wanting another drink can continue at Black Amber's nearby
gentleman's club. Do note, Black Amber cuts men's hair only.

Don’t be alarmed by the gang of inked up barbers, this train station barbershop is all about retro rockabilly hairdos. Three Brothers stands out for its raw and rustic atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re dropping by a retro Thai barber. The experienced hairdressers offer up equally classic cuts with a focus on 1950s-style quaffs and undercuts— think Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and James Dean. Here a face shave, neck shave and eyebrow touch up will cost B150 or just B50 on top of a regular cut (total B500). They also sell some cool Thai-made pommades like Scrapes 50 (B200) alongside a few other imported options like Suavecito, Layrite and Murray’s.
