Feedpoint NEW!

Asoke now has the humble neighborhood bagel shop it needed. Tucked down Sukhumvit Soi 23, Feedpoint’s single-unit shop focuses mainly on homemade kettled bagels (plain, onion, sesame, poppy seed, wholewheat or salt, B35). Add a side of schmear (condiment spread) in several flavors including cream cheese, peanut butter and hummus at B30 each, or make it a sandwich with smoked salmon, smoked meat, bacon, peanut butter or mango at B150 each. They also serve salad (B120) and some homemade desserts. Do try the carrot cake (B85).

BK Pick: everything bagel with lox schmear (B65 in total!)

Rocket X 72 Courtyard NEW!

Rocket X 72 Courtyard

The fourth branch of the chic Scandinavian brunch and coffee spot Rocket comes in the form of a quick “grab and go” pit-stop at Thonglor's 72 Courtyard community mall. Alongside the always-quality takeaway coffee, the food menu has been condensed to suit the express style, including salads, sandwiches, various breakfast pastries and the newly launched bagel range.

BKK Bagel Bakery

Launched back in 2011, this bagel wonderland was one of the first on the scene in Bangkok. Over the years it’s proved its worth with knockouts like the Lox, Stock & Bagel (salmon served over cream cheese dill and red onion and capers spread bagel, B210) and the smoked chicken, bacon and avocado (B205). This bagelry has quite the reputation, too, supplying some of the big name businesses around town including the US embassy.

Brainwake Cafe

Tucked neatly into Sukhumvit Soi 33, Brainwake Cafe serves a variety of western and Thai treats as well as an all-day breakfast from B65. There's a large drinks menu on offer with a  hot coffee starting at B55, while the likes of an Irish coffee (Jameson Irish whiskey, kahlua and espresso) will set you back B275. For dessert there's a number of options including blueberry cheesecake (B85), macaroons (B35 each) and homemade brownie (B55)

BK Pick: scrambled egg and bacon bagel (B140)

Au Bon Pain

A New Yorker won’t fall to the floor in nostalgic tears upon spying these, but Au Bon Pain does get credit for their daily offering of plain, wholewheat, poppy seed, sesame and onion bagels. We vote for the Thonglor branch with its all-glass walls looking out to Thonglor and the Frank Sinatra soundtrack playing in the background—a great place to just sit and chill or hang out with friends.
