The 5 best spots to get bagels in Bangkok
There's a couple of new bagel spots in town. Here are the ones worth getting out of bed for.
Asoke now has the humble neighborhood bagel shop it needed. Tucked down Sukhumvit Soi 23, Feedpoint’s single-unit shop focuses mainly on homemade kettled bagels (plain, onion, sesame, poppy seed, wholewheat or salt, B35). Add a side of schmear (condiment spread) in several flavors including cream cheese, peanut butter and hummus at B30 each, or make it a sandwich with smoked salmon, smoked meat, bacon, peanut butter or mango at B150 each. They also serve salad (B120) and some homemade desserts. Do try the carrot cake (B85).
The fourth branch of the chic Scandinavian brunch and coffee spot Rocket comes in the form of a quick “grab and go” pit-stop at Thonglor's 72 Courtyard community mall. Alongside the always-quality takeaway coffee, the food menu has been condensed to suit the express style, including salads, sandwiches, various breakfast pastries and the newly launched bagel range.
Tucked neatly into Sukhumvit Soi 33, Brainwake Cafe serves a variety of western and Thai treats as well as an all-day breakfast from B65. There's a large drinks menu on offer with a hot coffee starting at B55, while the likes of an Irish coffee (Jameson Irish whiskey, kahlua and espresso) will set you back B275. For dessert there's a number of options including blueberry cheesecake (B85), macaroons (B35 each) and homemade brownie (B55)
