Bangkok's new luxury mall Central Embassy is going to open its doors May 9, promising some big-name fashion brands and exciting eateries.

The 37-story building dedicates eight floors to retail shops and the rest to a high-end hotel, Park Hyatt, which is still some way off completion.

While some of the stores will not be ready for the offical opening, you can expect stores from some of the world's most exciting fashion brands, such as Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin, Jil Sander, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Hublot, plus high-end concept store Siwilai.

On the sixth floor, you'll find the Embassy Diplomat Screens—a cinema they're boasting will offer a VIP experience, from the latest technology to high-end amenities and, of course, a ticket price to match (around B1,000).

Food-wise the new openings are quite thrilling, too—besides the familiar names such as Issaya La Patisserie, Water Library, Minibar, homemade ice cream makers Tropical Monkey and Supanniga, Central Embassy also welcomes a few popular eateries from around the world such as dessert bar Chikalicious from New York, Japanese ramen franchise Ippudo, which seems to be a hit among Bangkokians who live in New York, French patisserie Paul and Australia’s ice cream parlor Nitrogenie.

There's also a large food market dubbed EATHAI which serves up Thai regional dishes, a seafood market and Issaya Cooking Studio comprising a chef’s table, a cooking school and open pastry kitchen.
