Kampong Glam just can't get over its own coolness, and a bunch of exciting events and new openings are converging again in the next couple of weeks. Here's what all to check out on your next trip down.

1. A new weekend flea market

The Straits Records peeps are holding the Rilek Jack market on the second floor of 24A Bali Lane. This event started on Nov 6, and happens in the evenings from Fridays to Sundays. The next and last (for now) edition is Nov 27-29. This time, there's music from Johnny Eyeglass and Hanafie Warren, with Bouitelle Pop selling rainbow-colored drinks that look like Paddle Pop ice-cream. The Botanical Plate will hawk their own homegrown ingredients, Project Coal will sell natural dyes and Forest Child will be selling leather goods.

2. A drag brunch at Hotel Vagabond

Hotel Vagabond is hosting Filthy & Gorgeous, an afternoon of raucous fun, music, pharmaceutical amounts of sass and of course, good food. Held on Dec 6 from 12-5pm, and hosted by Becca D'Bus, the line-up includes Noris, Mona Kee Kee and Gina Gemini, along with a special guest appearance by burlesque dancer du jour Sukki Singapora. The event is by the F1 Boudoir Noire afterparty people, so chances are it'll be a good party. Vagabond Bar will do the cocktails, while hot new grill place 5th Quarter will do the food. The $110 ticket covers all that and a glass of bubbly. RSVP here.

3. Freshly baked deliciousness

The folks from Lab SG have a new dessert and bakery project a few doors from their mainstay at Jalan Pisang at Sinseh. Don't expect to get too cushy because apart from a table and a few chairs outside, there aren't any dine-options.Apart from the usual croissants ($6) and baguettes ($5) and focaccia ($8), the in-house bakery here does hearty bagel sandwiches with fillings like salmon and dill, turkey bacon and egg, grilled cheese and grilled vegetable. Desserts include death-by-carbs option bagel ice cream sandwich ($10) with homemade vanilla ice cream and fruit, nut and chocolate chips.

4. A cool new capsule hotel
