Take part in this quarantine art contest for a chance to be exhibited
Time to get creative.
Through Apr 30, River City Bangkok is holding a contest for aspiring artists. They're challenging you to create a piece of work that will uplift people's spirits during this difficult time. You can use any medium, from pencil, acrylics, digital art, fashion and photography to poetry, film and song. You must then share your work publicly on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ARTNODISTANCE and a caption explaining your inspiration. Each week, River City will select outstanding pieces and share them with their community of art lovers via their website
Selected participants will also be in with the chance of being exhibited alongside the works of Jitsing Somboon, Kob B.O.R.E.D, Paintfah, Gongkan, Suntur, Jirayu Koo and more when the gallery reopens, as well as earning free access to all of this year's upcoming exhibitions.
If you prefer looking at art to creating it, you can explore the gallery’s new “RCB at Home” webpage for artistic inspiration. Here, you'll find animated presentations about the artists of two upcoming exhibitions: Vincent Van Gogh and Andy Warhol; plus 360-degree virtual tours of their current exhibitions (Vanishing Bangkok: The Changing Face of the City by British photographer, Ben Davies; Left Behind by Italian photographer Carolina Sandretto; Tube Gallery’s 20th Anniversary fashion exhibition).
