Is Bangkok really that cheap?
Are the finer things in life really that cheap when comparing Bangkok to other major cities? Sure, you can eat khao gaeng for B35, rent a room in Ramkamhaeng for B5,000 and ride free buses. That makes Bangkok a very cheap city when compared to New York, London, Singapore and Sydney. But what if you want to live in a nice neighborhood like Ari or Thonglor, eat out at San Pellegrino-endorsed restaurants, drink imported booze or sip drip coffee at a hip cafe?
