Art lovers will want to check out Setouchi Triennale 2013, a Japanese art festival on July 20 to September 1, across the 12 Japanese islands in the Seto Inland Sea.

The summer session of Japanese arts exhibition Setouchi Triennale 2013 is set to happen from July 20 to September 1 across the 12 Japanese islands in the Seto Inland Sea, plus Takamatsu and Uno.

This round includes installations by artists like Tadao Ando, Chiharu Shiota, Seizo Tashima and Ryo Wakabayashi. Show tickets cost JPY4,500 (S$57) from Takamatsu Port General Information Center, Uno Port Information Center and convenience stores like Seven-Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart, Circle K and Sunkus.

There aren’t many five star mega projects in the area, so while at the Seto Islands, stay at Uno Slope House, a charming B&B with rates starting at JPY5,500 (S$70).
