The work of creative team the The Spinifex Group, the light displays will be showcased at well known landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, Customs House and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
In addition, expect performances from musicians such as American R&B talent Bobby Womack as well as Australian names including jazz veteran C.W Stoneking, blues group Cloud Control and dance music stars Future Classic.
While in town for the festival, stay at stylish local establishments like QT Sydney, a refurbished 200-roomer housed in the Old State Theatre building.
