Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is commencing Singapore-Zurich flights with prices starting at US$1,384 (S$1,700) return. This compares with US$1,838 (S$2,259) return for Air France and US$1,278 (S$1,570) roundtrip on Finnair.

Switzerland’s biggest city is a cosmopolitan urban hub with year round highlights like The Zurich Pride Festival (June 8-17 2013)—a LGBT event expected to attract 40,000 visitors with theater shows, films, parties and a parade through the city center—and the Züri Fäscht Festival (July 5-7 2013) a giant carnival with acrobatic and firework displays.
