It has taken long enough but THAI Airways (www.thaiairways.com) will get its first brand new Airbus A380 on Sep 27. The new aircraft will feature 12 First Class seats, 60 Business Class seats and 435 Economy Class seats, along with THAI’s best-ever inflight entertainment system including Video on Demand, a personal screen with internet connection, onboard Wi-Fi and inflight phone service. The A380 will start flying between Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore from Oct 6. And there will be three more A380’s coming to handle the Tokyo and Paris routes, which are currently served by embarrassingly old planes.
