Throughout the month of March, Samui is focusing on gastronomy with its debut Samui Fine Dining Festival, in which some of the island’s top restaurants are offering a variety of special seven-course dinners. You’ll be blessed by different vibes and scenes, from dining with panoramic views at Banyan Tree Samui and The Five Islands to basking in the elaborate décor at Le Meridien Resort and Le Jaroen. We’re particularly curious about the menus at the gala dinners hosted by Reflexions’s Chef Thibault Chiumenti at Le Meridien Resort (Mar 24, B4,200) and Le Beaulieu’s Chef Herve Frerard at Beach Republic (Mar 29, B4,750). Other participating restaurants include Full Moon at Anantara Bophut, Orgasmic, Red Snapper, Rock Pool, Renaissance Resort, The Barge, Tree Tops, Twisted Thai, Prego, Zazen, and Santiburi. Each venue’s set is B2,500 per person for a seven course dinner. There are also a bunch of special gala events. See menu details at www.samuifinediningfestival.com.
