With perfect romantic timing, February just happens to be the month to view the indigenous pink Chomphu Phuka blossoms at Doi Phuka National Park in Nan province. Originally also found in southern China and northern Vietnam, the flower has all but disappeared due to the destruction of its natural habitat. While the Department of National Parks has been trying to breed them at other locations, this original site is still best place to see the blossoms. Like Japanese cherry blossoms, when the flowers will appear is hard to predict, so you might want to check with the park first. The blossoms should last about a month.
