After recently opening several properties from New York and Mexico to London and Barcelona, the Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental has now arrived in Paris. Opened Jun 28, the 138-room Mandarin Oriental Paris (251 Rue Saint-Honore, +33-170-987-888, www.madarinoriental.com/paris) boasts an art deco style with a contemporary touch—thanks to noted local architects and designers like Sybille de Margerie, Patrick Jouin, Francois Neveux and Bernard Rouyer. With a premier location near Cambon St., it’s only a short walk to Place Vendome, Collette, Chanel, Hermes and all the other glitter. (Also close to Monet’s waterlilies at the Musee de l’Orangerie for those who have riches and souls.) Introductory rates are €765 (B33,126) per night with a €300-500 (B13,000-21,650) credit to use at the spa and restaurants. July 17-Aug 28.
