We just got back from a little inspection of Supanniga Home (089-944-4880, www.supannigahome.com), in Khon Kaen, and we’ll soon have a story on what to do in the area. Supanniga is one of only five Relais & Chateaux (a very exclusive global collection of boutique hotels) in Thailand and the only one in Isaan. What you need to know is that they have a new package priced at B18,000 for two people staying in their country home-style villas or B34,000 for four people staying in their modernist two-bedroom villa. The package is pretty much all-inclusive: a two-night stay with daily breakfast, two candlelit dinners, free tuk-tuk ride to Kaen Nakorn Lake and the night market and a one-day trip to major attractions like Ubonrat Dam, Cobra Village and Phra That Kham Kaen.
