A little vinyl, a lot of wine, and some waffles.

The Thonglor mainstay 72 Courtyard began opening new spots last year after an extended hiatus, and Feral, the space for bites and bottles before the club kids hit BEAM, is striking out with new brunch menu and dinner menus.

With a witchy, artsy design, Feral’s haunted fairy grotto vibes packed with dried grasses and plants makes for a mystical, earthy all-day brunch space tucked away from the Thonglor hurlyburly.

During the daytime, it’s all about reimagining the brunch classics—take the buttermilk waffle sandwich (B220), which hits with a sweet and savory in the form of maple butter and a cured pork collar to pair with the egg and cheese. For diners with even more of a sweet tooth, the can’t-miss brunchy get is the stuffed French toast (B270), a pile of mascarpone and fresh berries.

On the savory side of the menu, the blue crab bandade (B250) in a vierge sauce will be a boon for the healthy crowd and the huevos rotos (B240) goes for Mediterranean flavors with Spanish eggs, speck, and charred scallions.

But what’s brunch without a little booze, and while Feral is boasting a long list of non-alcoholic bevvies (B200) and cocktails (B380) the big reason to check this spot out is in the wines. Bottles on the brunch menu start at B2,000 for a bottle and B2,400 for bubbly.

At night, the venue’s “moonlight” menu focuses on a slightly large lineup of dishes and heftier proteins. The “bites” section includes lighter fare like the tartare toast (B210), which sees a healthy portion of beef tartare lathered on a crispy and puffy piece of shokupan toast (Japanese-style milk bread) and French mushrooms. For more hefty options, the “chow” part of the offering is where you’ll find the likes of the pig trotter croquette (B290) with a crispy fried shell and rich creamy inside balanced by the sharp tang of red miso mustard.

For a space that’s all about warm accents and smooth vibes, there’s also a vinyl element here, with classic turntables enhanced by the MasterSounds music system, and you can expect curated music selections from their vinyl collection and DJs spinning.

Friday and Saturday nights will be turning up the live music with the likes of soul and jazz from the Paris Night quartet, and it’s also providing local bands with a stage, including Two Pills After Meal, Enigma Ray, and Supergoods.
