The Asian leg of Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia Tour will bring him to Bangkok later this year at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Sep 16.
Announced yesterday, the Tyler, The Creator show will also be hitting Manila, Tokyo, and Seoul, rounding out what has to be one of the biggest album drops of last year.
The Billboard No.1 premier Chromakopia—which garnered 212.55 million official streams in its first week—dropped in October of last year and has been hailed as not only a triumph for the artist, but an advance of the genre, written, produced, and arranged by Tyler, The Creator.
"Noid", “St. Chroma”, and "Sticky" were the album’s biggest hits, and it has cemented Tyler, The Creator’s status as alternative hip-hop’s innovator. The album collaborated with the likes of Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, and Playboi Carti—who
left Bangkok in the lurch at Rolling Loud last year.
Tyler, The Creator has been laying down hits for more than a decade, a household name on the hip-hop scene boasting two Grammy wins and five nominations.
Little is known about the concert details at this time, but tickets will go on sale for the Bangkok show on
Mar 5.
In more good news for hip-hop fans, Rolling Loud, Asia’s biggest hip-hop festival, will be returning later this year on Nov 14-16. Last year it featured headliners A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, and replacement Yeat. Tickets are currently on sale for Rolling Loud, but, in a boon to festival goers put off by the walk to the venue in 2023 and 2024, the location will be moved in 2025.
