The chef has picked up numerous accolades for his past work at Le Méridien, Favola, and Rossini's.

One of Bangkok’s long standing riverside Italian restaurants, Giorgio’s at The Royal Orchid Sheraton, is getting a menu facelift thanks to the arrival of new executive chef Marco Cammarata.

Locally sourced, sustainable ingredients are the name of the game these days, and Marco’s new menu promises to follow the trend by gathering much of its produce from nearby farms and fisheries. There will also be, according to the hotel, a lean towards more health-conscious bites.

The new menu includes a couple of highlights worth mentioning, like the organic Black Angus beef tenderloin (topped with hazelnut and a parmigiano crisp) and wild-caught Andaman red snapper (roasted with lemon marinated cherry tomatoes). The new menu also includes a special offering for kids.

Giorgio’s, G/F, Royal Orchid Sheraton, Soi 30, 2 Charoenkrung Rd., 02-266-0123. Open daily noon-10pm
