Blast from the past As I Lay Dying will hit Hollywood Bangkok this weekend on Ratchada 4 as part of their Asia tour before moving on to Singapore next week.
On Friday at Hollywood Bangkok, the usual club crew on Ratchada Soi 4 will walk into some of the most memorable metal tunes from the mid 2000s. As I Lay Dying, named after the William Faulkner novel, made it big with hits like “Nothing Left” and “Comfort Betrays” and have kept metal fans wanting more for decades.
There was a brief hiatus, however, when lead singer Tim Lambesis attempted to hire someone to kill his wife—unknowingly employing an undercover sheriff’s detective. Lambesis was sentenced to six years in 2014 but was released after just two. The band reunited soon after his release.
The (vaguely Christian) metalcore band has since played major festivals around the world. The concert at Hollywood Bangkok is set for Friday and tickets online go for B2,000. Tickets are available at
