From Oct 5-8, the cutest good boys and girls in Thailand will make their way to the Muang Thong Thani Impact Arena for the 3rd Thailand International Pet Variety Exhibition 2023.
Boasting more than 250 booths with pet products and servies, this event boasts being the biggest pet event on the calendar, and they are expecting more than
150,000 pet lovers from around Thailand and beyond.
Sponsored by Smart Heart, pet owners will compete for B100,000 in prizes, and pets are, of course, welcomed at the event, held in Building 7-8, with their little ones on a leash or in a stroller.
Beyond a bevy of stalls for every type of pet, visitors can look forward to the “Pet Lympics” for a test of wit, strength, and being cuddly and adorable. There will be weight-pulling competition with pit bulls, a cat grooming competition, and a tarantula contest.
Some people will tell you that the sporting event of the year is F1 or Women's FIFA World Cup or the Royal Ascot. All wrong. It’s “Hare vs. Tortoise” race. The tortoise comes out on top more than you’d think—as in, ever.
Junichi the rabbit takes on
Suke the turtle for a rematch, and the organizers say their rivalry has drawn more than 51 million views on YouTube.
Entry fees to the event are B20, and kids and pets get in for free; a portion of the proceeds are donated to animal care organizations, and tickets will be available at the event. Visit the organizer’s page for information on pet-friendly hotels nearby.
