Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach redefines resort dining with a multi-cuisine Village Square and a beachfront restaurant
Be there or be square!
With a prime waterfront location on stunning Tawanron Beach, the Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is a green and tranquil getaway from the hubbub of Pattaya city center (although central Pattaya is only a short drive away). But what really sets the resort apart within Pattaya’s (over)crowded resort scene is their “Village Square”—a take on the traditional Thai village.
Composed of three distinct eateries (and with a nearby “Fish Club,” although more on that later), Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach’s Village Square sets out to make guests and diners feel as though they’re part of a communal Thai village dining experience while simultaneously providing a wide range of international cuisines. The assortment of eating options makes this a perfect vacation or staycation choice for large parties, as well as for diners who are just really into food that is big on flavor.
A common thread throughout all of the eateries is their commitment to promoting local and sustainably-sourced ingredients. That means all of the ingredients used in the various kitchens are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality—most of the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices coming from either the onsite organic garden, or sourced directly from Thai farmers across the country.

“The Andaz brand celebrates the unique personality of its destinations, and that is exactly what we are aiming to achieve in our culinary concepts here at Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach in Thailand,” explained Alexis Movio, Director of Food & Beverage at Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach. “With local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients, tiki sundowners crafted using Thai spirits, and tableware made from local ceramics, each of our outlets will create a unique sense of place. Most importantly, guests will be immersed in a lively and social atmosphere reminiscent of a Thai village.”

Meat lovers will want to make a beeline for Village Butcher, the impressive steakhouse whose menu features top-quality cuts of meat from around the world. With the help of a stunning Pira charcoal oven, diners can sink their teeth into succulent ribeye and tenderloin sourced from countries like Japan, Scotland, or Australia, as well as non-beef meats such as Australian rack of lamb. And since we’re on the beach, why not try a classic surf and turf featuring Boston lobster and Wagyu beef?

Feel like trying a bit of everything? Check out Village Butcher’s Sunday “Off the Grill” lunch buffet, which offers both seafood and premium barbeque meats and takes place every week from noon to 3pm.

If you want to eat your way through Thailand, check out Wok Wok, whose kitchen specializes in authentic Thai flavors from various regions across the country. We’re big fans of the venue’s casual atmosphere and flavor-packed (read: spicy) menu featuring pretty much any and every Thai dish you could imagine.

The Alaskan king crab in yellow curry is a stand-out—especially if you’re coming as a large party—as are the kuai tiao nua with Wagyu beef and the lobster khao soi. Thai classics like tom yam goong, som tum, and yellow, red, and green curries, are, of course, also on the menu. Don’t leave without checking out dessert, which includes both traditional dishes like mango sticky rice and more creative options like the baked chocolate lava cake featuring Thai dark chocolate.

On the other hand, if you need a short break from nonstop Thai food, La Cucina has got you covered. Designed to be a trattoria-style Italian restaurant complete with blue and white hand painted tiles, guests can feast on fresh pasta and pizzas baked directly in the wood-fired oven in the center open kitchen. Start your meal with a cold cut platter which includes warm homemade pizza bread, perfectly crispy calamari, or a warm bowl of minestrone soup.

For mains, the pizza menu has your classic margherita and a spicy diavola, but since you’re literally at the beach, we’d recommend the (what else?) fisherman’s pizza. The pasta menu utilizes a range of meats and seafood from the squid ink ravioli that has both codfish and pork, to the hearty risotto made with braised Dutch ossobuco.

And last but not least, located a stone’s throw from the main part of the Village Square is Fish Club, a vibrant beachfront restaurant that offers both lounging and party vibes, depending on what you’re in the mood for. The poolside location allows you to snack on some fish and chips or tuna tacos while you get your tan on.

In the evening, grab a seat (either indoor or outdoor) and take in the stunning Pattaya sunset with your loved one(s). Watch as the chef grills fresh seafood—sourced from local fishermen—over coconut husks in keeping with the local traditional method. For something slightly novel, try the lobster cooked either in a curry or with the phad Thai goong mang gon. Later in the night, get into the live DJ groove with one of Fish Club’s homemade craft cocktails in hand.
Whether you’re traveling to Pattaya as a couple, a large family (with or without kids), or are looking for a unique venue for a special celebration, the Village Square at the Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is ready to welcome you and yours.
