Happy Pride Month everyone. With marriage equality (finally) within sight, Bangkok is set to celebrate like never before. We're just getting started. Check back at this space for more Pride events throughout the month.

June 1

Blossom Bodies Exhibition

Oat Montien has been an artist, writer, and campaigner for years on Bangkok’s LGBT+ scene. This exhibition with AVANI+ Riverside is a group curated exhibit featuring 12 Thai artists will run through the month of June. The exhibition kicked off on May 31 and will run throughout the month, including mixed media, painting, installations, photography, fashion, and more. Free entry, Avani+ Riverside

 

Rainbow Chocolate

Those who want to start off Pride Month with their sweet tooth can head to Anantara Siam’s Mocha & Muffins who have launched the handmade “All Love” Chocolate Bar. The chocolate, of course, is 80% Belgian chocolate, but getting an insta with the wrapper is a good way to kick off Pride Month. There is also rainbow cake and a special frappe. June 2

Pride on 20

The party starts at 6:30pm with a DJ to get the party started, and then expect live tunes and a drag show starting at 7:45 on Sukhumvit 20 at the Novotel Bangkok featuring special guests from Drag Race Thailand. Free entry, Novotel Sukhumvit Soi 20

 

Pride Month with Aof Pongsak

Before or after you check out Blossom Bodies, on the second day of Pride Month you can celebrate with Aof Pongsak at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok featuring performances, exclusive shows, and, of course, the soft voice of the charming Aof Pongsak. Tickets here, Avani+ Riverside

 

June 4

Pride Parade

There’s one big event that’s on everyone’s mind this weekend and that’s the Pride Parade 2023. The event kicks off at the BACC on the Pathumwan intersection at 2pm, and you can watch the event from both sides of the road. Go, show your pride and dress to impress. Free entry, Starts at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center.

 

Sex-ed for Teen Girls

It’s not just about celebrating, it’s about learning. This free event at Lam’s will start at 2pm and aim to teach young people about protection, hygiene, and identity and help dispel myths about sex and sexuality. Pride March Pre-Party at The Standard

On Sunday June 4, check out the Parlor at the plush, design forward The Standard as a “pre-event” venue for the Pride Parade in an event co-hosted by Naruement Pride and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) with the “Beyond Gender” theme celebrating diversity and community. Expect biodegradable glitter, glamming, and face painting by professional artists before hopping on the Pride bus. Free entry, The Standard

 

June 7

Out Loud

Colors will be waving at Flamenco Bangkok June 7 starting at 7pm for the Wednesday night “Out Loud” LGBT+ events. You’ll find drag, glitter, and a three-DJ lineup, including Kinky D, DJ Nance, and DJ Yui Truluv. Free entry, Flamenco 

 

June 9

Pride Night

The Pride Night: Genderless Party kicks off on June 9 at 6:30pm, featuring live music from Teddy Band and guest DJ Rattana. Dress to impress because there will be a best costume competition that kicks off at 10pm. Tickets here, Oriental Residence

 

June 9-10

Pride Cruise #7

The Pride Cruise is a regular feature on the Chaophraya, and this seventh during Pride Month will feature two days of partying. Expect drag shows, karaoke, dance performances, DJs, special guests and more at this reliably wild party on Bangkok’s mighty river. Tickets here, Bangkok Island

 

June 16 

Out and Proud

The Am Bar in Asoke kicks off their annual Pride party on Friday June 16, featuring dance music, costumes and dress up, and a drag queen show. Enjoy the specialty drinks that have made Am Bar the place to be on the weekend. Tickets here, Am Bar

 

June 17

W Drag Brunch

W hotels are one of the few that really know how to have fun. This month chekc out their Pride Month drag brunch featuring a wide selection of food and drinks and a drag queen troupe. Expect Louisiana seafood, a fluffy soufflé pancake station, baked eggs, smoked beef brisket, and more. Tickets here, W Bangkok
