After their first two locations in the south—Phuket and Samui—Spanish hotel chain Melia opened its third location in Thailand’s north in Chiang Mai.
There are two buildings, 260 rooms, and nine room types with prices starting from B3,400, including breakfast for two people. Click

If you’re looking for a small town vibe in Chiang Mai, Melia is that place. It’s located in the city, and a must-visit drag queen bar, Ram Show Bar, is just 20 steps away from the lobby.
Melia is known for blending Spanish culture with the property’s location. So, for this location’s two restaurants, you could be munching on paella and khao soi at the same dinner.
You can also see Chiang Mai’s history hidden in parts of the design; the property itself boasts influences from Wat Umong, a temple and local attraction with tunnels built into the walls.
There’s a Spanish, Mediterranean, and Thai brunch every first Sunday of the month for B1,499. Highlights include charcuterie, chilled prawns on ice, Mediterranean salads, and a live noodle cooking station.
Spa treatments start at B2,000 for 90 minutes. They also offer a 45-minute yoga and meditation class included with their signature 165-minute spa treatments for B3,000.
Flights to Chiang Mai via Bangkok Airways start at B4,500 for a round-trip, and run three times a day at 8am, 12:20pm, and 4:55pm.
