Know the rules for taking your doggo to Benjakitti Park
Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yay! Dogs are finally allowed in Benjakitti. But mind your pooch.
City Hall has let the dogs out at Benjakitti Park with the official opening of its new pooch-friendly area.
Downtown dog pals have a place to take their best friends—on a leash—at the popular public park after the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration agreed to create a small area where dogs can walk, and of course, poop.
Given that this is a City Hall project, there are of course unnecessarily complex rules.
The first rule of dog park is simple: Only dogs are allowed. The park is open 5am to 9pm.
The second rule of dog park is that people must register using a Google Form in semi-English or check in their dogs to use it. Dogs will be issued dog codes.
One can not simply walk into dog park, as a security guard will be checking for proof of registration or check in.
Finally, owners must carry bags and immediately scoop their poop and throw it in a bin.
The dog park does have a “dog toilet” area to facilitate this.
Find it near the main entrance on Ratchadaphisek Road or the community gate at the end of Soi Sukhumvit 10.
