The era of Arena 10 clubbing came to an end on Mar 27, 2022, when the Thonglor-based Sway club closed its doors with a final hurrah. But Sway will be returning with a soft opening this week at a new location on the corner of Thonglor 10. 

With a soft opening set for this Thursday (Aug 11), the new venue has been designed by Paradigm Shift, which has designed familiar names such as Thonglor’s Rabbit Hole and Langsuan’s Crimson Room.

After a long bout with Covid restrictions, the longtime home of Bangkok hip-hop shuttered to make way for a three-tower condo construction from Park Origin. Sway was the last hold out in a clubbing area that once featured Demo, Snail, and Barbarbar—now all gone.

A staple of Bangkok’s live music and clubbing scene for the last eight years, the grand opening of the club will be held in September, a representative from Sway tells BK Magazine.
