Vapor Seafood Bar & Restaurant

This must-visit, sprawling riverside seafood restaurant is usually packed to the gills (we are so sorry for that pun) with hungry diners who come for fresh grilled river prawns, massive steamed squid with chili and lemon sauce and Thai-style crab fermented in fish sauce—the latter being one of the most popular, by the way. It's one of the best restaurants in the area and will definitely be a regular selection of yours if you live or visit the area. They really put effort into their takeaway offerings too. Packing comes with how-to instructions and all the food we’ve seen appears well protected from the motion of the delivery bikes.

Siriwan Hoi Tod Pad Thai

One of the latest restaurants to join the Robinhood delivery trend (the app doesn’t charge restaurant’s commission if you are wondering why). The venue serves mostly versions of homey Thai and Chinese favorites, like fried dim sum turnip cakes, spicy fish maw soup, pad Thai and coconut cakes.

These are right in the heart of the action on Nakhon-in road, and the exclusive project only has 94 of them. There are five types of options to choose from whether you are a single family or need a multi-generational set up. There are two large central areas that clearly divide the private zones (like you home’s garden) from the activity areas.

Khelang House

This northern Thai specialist is known for its great service and atmosphere thanks to a live band that plays pretty regularly. Sadly, we can't confirm the state of those things with easing lockdown measures just around the corner, but the food is still on point—they make a mean koi soi.

Where to live: The City Sukhumvit-On Nut  

The City Sukhumvit-On Nut from AP is a new series of single-family homes. And it's also the first project of The City brand to use this model. Its luxurious urban location is close to some of Bangkok’s coolest neighbourhoods, and frankly it is next to impossible to find homes in On Nut these days. The homes come with modern facades and swanky internal functions. They are big, too. We’re talking five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four parking spaces, making them great for large families (starting at B15 million). 

Rangsit/Ramintra

Vietnam My Heart

One of the more affordable Vietnamese restaurants in the area and also known for dishing out very big portions. You’ll find all of the classic Vietnamese dishes you love, like grilled pork with vermicelli noodles, pho (with many different kinds of meat), fresh shrimp rolls and spring rolls, and Vietnamese-style pork sausage. There is also a small selection of Isaan (northeastern Thai) dishes to whet your somtam whistle.

Sriwat Chuan Chim

A simple restaurant with only a handful of dishes, most of them piled high with crispy and red pork. The venue has been open for the past 20 years, and leans on a recipe developed by the owner’s mother—which hasn’t changed over the course of that time. The red pork here is marinated for 1-2 hours to help concentrate the flavours the reduce the amount of grease that can come with it. You’ll also find a bunch of typical noodle dishes here, like tom yum soup with noodles and spicy yentafo.

These single-family homes are perfect for new generations that also need to take care of elderly family members. They come with four bedrooms, five bathrooms and three parking spaces. One of the first restaurants in Ratchaphruek Road to adopt the shipping container approach to outdoor dining, Treebox is a combo craft beer and grill that does a pretty bang-up job of Italian and Thai classics. Aside from the massive range of craft beers, there is a huge range of burgers, salads, pastas, and steaks to choose from. Swing by there for some quality live music as well—seating options both inside and out in the open air. The restaurant's menu and vibe also make it a great place for regular family dinners if you live in the neighborhood or find yourself there often.

Where to live: Centro Ratchapruek-Suanpak 3

Centro Ratchaphruek-Suan Phak 3 is a two-story detached housing project with a modern style, lots of privacy, and only 43 residential units—making it very exclusive.
