Located near the trail to the Naga Crest lookout on what has become Krabi’s de facto luxury lane, the Banyan Tree Krabi has just opened on quiet Tubkaek beach, marking the high-end brand’s fourth property in Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Samui).
The 72-room resort boasts three ultra-luxury beachfront pool villas, 10 beachfront pool villas, and 59 pool suites—all with private saltwater pools. The smallest room you’ll find is an enviable 99-sq-meters. (The biggest? The presidential villa, which can be arranged into a seven-bedroom, 1,335-sq-meter setup.)
Facilities here include two restaurants—plus three “bird’s nest” tables, perched among the trees at one of those restaurants, Saffron—a beach bar, a kids’ club, a fitness center, and a rainforest-themed spa.
The centerpiece, however, might be the pond just beyond the naga-inspired entrance. From here, in the lobby, water streams down into the meeting room area below—one of many eye-catching water features found across the resort, including a natural spring that flows down through property into a flower-fringed canal that leads out into the sea.
Rates currently start from B9,999 for deluxe pool suites.
