Now we’re sad.

Noma (Now Our Mother’s Angry) had been a second home to many scenesters since 2018. Though it had just moved to a new location in Saphan Kwai late last year, the blue neon-drenched bar is now no more after announcing its closure last week.

According to a post on the bar’s Instagram account, the current situation left them no choice but to shut down.

Here is what we’re going to miss: the poster of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis—today is the 40-year anniversary of his passing—from the original location, the gigs from indie artists, the party scene, the new wave tunes and, of course, the crowd.
