Chef Kirk Westaway is bringing a taste of England to Bangkok's Issaya
East meets West.
On Nov 17, Issaya Siamese Club will welcome chef Kirk Westaway from one-Michelin-starred JAAN by Kirk Westaway in Singapore for a special four-hands lunch with chef Ian Kittichai, followed by a dinner at Issaya Cooking Studio on Nov 18.
Since taking the helm at Swissôtel The Stamford's JAAN in 2015, chef Kirk has taken the restaurant in a progressively British direction, showcasing the natural, English flavors that he grew up on. The restaurant is currently ranked number 32 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019.
Merging their contemporary visions of British and Thai cuisine, chef Ian and chef Kirk will come together for a feast of savory dishes like miang tuna tartare, Iberico pork loin with marinated girolles and potato terrine, and of course, a special collaborative dish by the two chefs. Note that the menu is still in the works, so the line-up may change. Lunch , served at Issaya Siamese Club, is priced at B2,900 (Nov 17, midday), while dinner at Issaya Cooking Studio in Central Embassy, is priced at B4,900 (Nov 18, 7pm) including wine pairing.
