Rosewood Bangkok opens on Mar 31. Here's what we know about it.
The four bars and restaurants mark this as a hot staycation destination.
Keep your sights trained on Phloen Chit’s latest skyscraper for the new Rosewood Bangkok, which begins on its 33rd floor and is set to open on Mar 31.
The hotel comes with a total of 159 swanky rooms, including suites and houses ranging from 42- to 291-sq-meters. Elegant cream tones and furnishings in shades of gold and blue are designed to evoke traditional Thai charm with a contemporary edge.
We’ve got our eyes on the 26th floor Sky Pool Studio, which comes with its own private terrace and outdoor plunge pool with sweeping views of Bangkok.
Other facilities include Rosewood’s signature spa, a swimming pool and a fitness center, and four restaurants F&B outlets.
On the seventh floor, all-day Lakorn European Brasserie may serve European cuisine but the decor keeps it local with traditional Thai ornaments, cool grey marble, elegant chandeliers and contemporary pops of mint green.
Moving to the ninth floor, upscale cafe G&O takes a farm-to-table approach in its nutritious menu, with a focus on organic, natural and locally sourced ingredients.
Head up to Nan Bei for impressive 19th-floor views accompanied by authentic Chinese cuisine, spanning everything from northern Peking duck to southern Chinese seafood, amid an interior that mixes Chinese folklore and Art Deco.
Arguably most exciting is Lennon’s, a speakeasy hidden behind a whiskey library, wherein you can browse a 6,000-strong vinyl collection while sipping on cocktails with an Asian twist, or ascend the spiral staircase to the cigar mezzanine.
Room rates start at B9,450 per night for the Deluxe King room.
