Bangkok's first gay cruise is happening this March
All aboard the Pride Cruise Bangkok.
Bangkok is about to welcome its first LGBTQ and allies cruise along the Chao Phraya River.
Setting sail on Mar 3, Pride Cruise Bangkok takes over Bangkok Island, a vessel dedicated to live music and entertainment from the team behind The Overstay bar.
According to organizers: "For too long Bangkok has been deprived of a LGBTQ parade also known around the world as Pride. From New York to Tel Aviv or Sydney such event are a beacon of love and acceptance. Pride Cruise came as an original solution: Take the parade to the river and cruise 'fabulous' style."
Party-goers can dress up (or strip down) for a huge celebration of gender equality for a lineup that includes Pangina Heals, Bangkok's most recognizable drag artist, and electronic DJs Wanton Witch, Kris Thai and Belle Rang.
The boat will depart from Asiatique at 4pm and continue until 11:30pm. Early bird tickets are B900/person until Feb 26, and thereafter general tickets are B1,400/person or B4,000 for groups of 5. All tickets include a welcome drink. For more information, visit Bangkok Island's event page or check out the Facebook page below.
