Bangkok just welcomed its first rooftop vodka bar
Sip on some of the world’s best vodkas as you enjoy the sunset.
Situated on the 25th floor of Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4 hotel is swanky new rooftop bar, RedSquare. Named after the Red Square in the heart of Moscow, Russia, it has the unique claim to being the first rooftop vodka bar in Bangkok, replete with the best panoramic city views you could wish for. You’ll find an international selection of vodka here, ranging from North American (Burnett's, Crystal Head, Stilltheone and Skyy) and European imports (Ciroc, Finlandia, Belvedere, Artic and Chase), to vodka-inspired cocktails from South America and Africa. Glasses start from B150 to B350.
As you would expect, there’s a wide range of vodka-leaning creations. Must-tries include the Mojito Skyy—a delicious strawberry vodka-inspired cocktail—one of the venue’s best sellers. Another favorite is the Nigerian Chapman, an easy-to-drink cocktail with mint, passion fruit, vanilla and lime—originally a Nigerian-style drink that’s been twisted at RedSquare to incorporate vodka. Lastly, the Kenyan Dawa cocktail, made with in-house vodka, is another delicious concoction that offers a sweet, creamy kick thanks to sprinkles of cocoa butter.
Food comes out from the hotel’s main kitchen, Food Exchange, so expect international dishes with a mix of flavors—very much like the drinks menu. Do try the recommended spinach and cheese quesadilla, and the juicy Australian beef tenderloin served with red wine sauce.
Keep an eye on their Facebook page to get a heads-up on the Girl's Night Out promotion happening twice a month on Thursdays (no fixed week). There will be performances from live DJs, plus ladies enjoy select drinks for B300 between 8-10pm.
