2019 has been an amazing year so far with visits from international acts like Kodaline, BTS and Slash already keeping fans upbeat. More acts have been announced since, and to gear you up for a year of nonstop entertainment, here's an updated list of live gigs and concerts here.
 

Clairo (Mar 17)

Breaking away from the stereotypical star-studded glamour of today’s pop stars, Clairo (real name Claire Cottrill) rose to popularity when her lo-fi indie rock debut "Pretty Girl" went viral on YouTube in late 2017. Since then, she has released album diary 001 under her pseudonym, and the self-proclaimed Bedroom popstar has only garnered a more massive online following. She is currently touring through several Asian countries including Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, all before making way to her sold-out gig here.

Ruel (Mar 24)

2018 ARIA Breakthrough Artist winner Ruel is only 16 years young, and yet he’s already taking the world by storm with his EP Ready, released mid last year. With over 6 million YouTube views on his third single "Younger", the singer has undeniably made his ascent to fame and will be dropping by to grace our shores with his charming R&B tunes.

Pet Shop Boys (Mar 26)

Synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys are no strangers to the Singapore stage, having had been in the 2014 F1 entertainment lineup. This year, the group is set to perform at the Star Performing Arts Center, following the release of four-track satirical/ballad album Agenda that jibbed at the recent political climate.

Tom Odell (Mar 29)

English singer-songwriter Tom Odell is BRITs Critic’s Choice Award winner of 2013, having had just put out his debut album Long Way Down. Slick on the keys both onstage and off, Odell proves his musical dexterity to fans and critics who even go as far as comparing him to Elton John. Shadowing the release of his latest gospel-inspired album Jubilee Road last October, catch Tom Odell at *Scape Ground Theatre end March.

John Mayer (Apr 1)

This seven-time Grammy winner may have been in the music industry for close to 20 years, but will only make his live debut here come this May. Dedicated fans can look forward to the charisma that oozes from John Mayer’s raw performances; one that regularly involves a guitar and his soulful crooning. However, fans who were unable to clinch a ticket for the date might have lost their chance to catch Mayer live already.

Anne-Marie (Apr 9)

Having performed a very special one-off show here in October as part of her Speak Your Mind tour, British songstress Anne-Marie will be making her way back to Singapore to entertain us with her infectious pop tunes in a one-night-only performance at the Capitol Theatre.

Sabrina Carpenter (Apr 11)

Former Disney princess Sabrina Carpenter brings more to the table than just Disney Channel originals. The pop songstress behind "Why" and "Eyes Wide Open" will bring her third concert tour to selected regions of Asia, including Singapore.

Ed Sheeran (Apr 26)

For those who didn’t manage to score a ticket to Ed Sheeran’s sold-out Divide tour last year, you’re in luck ’cause the "Perfect" singer will be returning for a new headline show at the National Stadium. Similar to the previous year, he has sold out the stadium once again, much to the disappointment of some fans. Hopefully, he'll be back next year.

The Proclaimers (Apr 29)

Chances are that you’ve probably heard the catchy tunes of twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid multiple times in your life. Celtic rock number "I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)" has made its fair share of cameos in various films throughout the years and has never failed to rile arenas up. Their recognisable Scottish accents will ring loud at the Capitol Theatre this April.

Mayday Parade (May 1)

Florida-based alt rock band Mayday Parade first debuted A Lesson In Romantics in 2007, an album that later goes on to become a staple among alternative music fans and Warped Tour frequenters. Today, Mayday Parade still manages to stay relevant—a feat rarely accomplished by bands and singers across genres. Here’s a show not to be missed, especially for fans of mid-2000s pop-punk/alternative rock/emo music.

Troye Sivan (May 3)

It seems like yesterday when we met up with Troye Sivan while he was here for his very first fan-signing session. This time, the "Dance to This" singer will return with his long-awaited, headlining Bloom Asia Tour in Singapore.

Jason Mraz (May 11)

Singapore just can’t get enough of Jason Mraz, can we? Having performed here recently in Oct 2018, the American singer-songwriter will be stepping onto our sunny island once again with his Good Vibes Tour. Known for his folk-pop sounds and all-around positivity, you’re in for a feel-good night with "Mr A-Z".

Jeff Chang (May 11)

Dubbed the "Taiwanese Prince of Love Songs”, singer-cum-actor Jeff Chang plans to hit the Singapore Indoor Stadium with nostalgic mandopop charters such as "Gone Too Far" and "Don’t Tell Him". Fans of sentimental Mandarin ballads can catch Jeff this May, as part of his Continuum World Tour.

Lauv (May 15-16)

As one of the fastest-rising acts on the scene, it’s no wonder tickets to Lauv’s upcoming concert sold out in a flash, and deservedly so. From being the opening act for Ed Sheeran to selling out not just one, but two nights of his own solo show, the pop visionary is certainly one to watch out for.

Lany (Aug 10)

No stranger to performing on our shores, it seems like Lany will soon be making their return to Singapore for their Malibu Nights World Tour. The news comes after the release of their latest record Malibu Nights, which is chockfull of synth-pop goodness that we can’t wait to groove along to.

The 1975 (Sep 16)

The boys are making their highly-anticipated return to Singapore since their last show at Laneway Festival in 2015. As part of their Music for Cars project, this leg of the tour would see The 1975 play not just their current discography but also some new music off their upcoming companion record, Notes on a Conditional Form; which Matt has teased would be released in 2019.

Singapore F1 Grand Prix (Sep 20-22)

The annual F1 party rolls around once again, with a promising lineup that encompasses the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Muse, Fatboy Slim, and Cardi B. The 2019 setlist is slightly rock-heavy as compared to previous years, and we’re all for it. As for local talent, Glen Wee who came in forth for reality TV show The Final One, will be joining the international rockstars with hits such as "House of Stone" and "Sound of Clouds". Elton John (Nov/Dec)

After half a century of glittery retro shades, outrageous fashion and incredible piano-playing, we received a rather bittersweet announcement from Sir Elton John himself calling fans to gather one last time before leaving the tour bus for good. Exact dates are TBC but you know we’ll be awaiting "Rocket Man"’s last mission.
