With a prime beachfront location, stunning pool and fun activities, this new Samui hotel is perfect for locals and tourists alike

Every traveler who has trotted across Koh Samui should know by now that finding a beachfront hotel is a mind-numbing challenge most times of the year—especially during high season. Finding a place with a decent price, social atmosphere and modern amenities is the golden ticket bang-for-your-buck wise. That search just got a lot easier with the arrival of Lub d Samui, a local brand offering resort-style, experiential accommodation that really does hit the sweet spot between price and amenities—with all of the social elements you’d expect from other large, conventional resorts.

Widely known for its other Lub d branches in Bangkok, Patong, Siem Reap and Makati, the latest addition of Lub d boasts a prime beachfront location—sitting directly on Chaweng Beach—and that’s where the fun starts! The Tropics beach club poolside bar is a great place to get started. Order a variety of drinks and cocktails from the skillful and playful mixologists while also sinking your teeth into a wide range of menu options—great for curing that Samui-level hangover.

Alternatively, hang out at Lub d’s activities hub, located at the Tropics Beach Club, which is fully equipped with all kinds of games like air hockey, a pool table and foosball (drinking games, anyone?) or a game of beer pong. Don’t like the classics? Try something more obscure like the giant-sized Jenga. Beat the heat, with one of two pools—an infinity pool on the beach with a see-through glass front, another in the resort’s garden featuring a swim-up pool bar.

In addition to the deluxe rooms, Lub d Samui is bringing a shared room experience dubbed “Family & Friends” rooms and shared accommodation. These are alternative, upscale spaces that turn the conventional idea shared rooms on its head. The deluxe rooms are ensuite with a king-sized bed or a twin, and a balcony to relax on. While the Family & Friends room (also ensuite) comes complete with a king or twin bed and bunk bed. You can still opt for the mixed or female dorm options in shared accommodation—where you can encounter people from different backgrounds and leave as a friends (or maybe a bit more).

Once the sun goes down, head back to the Tropics Beach Club and hit the d-floor while the house DJ spins some tunes from the floating DJ booth right above the infinity beach pool. Chill out on the sunset deck, lounge on the beach or hit the pool for a late night swim. With its unique blend of high-end facilities and friendly ambience, it's not an exaggeration to say that staying at Lub d Samui can help give you travel experiences that you can’t find anywhere else in Thailand—not to mention all the Insta worthy opportunities you want.

Until the end of January, there's a 25-percent discount for all rooms if you book on the Lub d website directly with the promo code: lovesamui.
